From speaking on stage to a $17 billion dollar international company to being interviewed on the #1 Entrepreneur podcast on iTunes, these opportunities wouldn’t have existed had I not secured #1 Amazon best selling status with my book.
So how did I do it?
There are countless articles written about how to “game the system” by selecting book categories with little competition or by hiring a team in the Philippines or India to “purchase” enough copies to guarantee Amazon #1 Best Selling status…
But this blog post isn’t about unethical tricks and techniques.
Rather, this post is about about 3 ethical strategies I implemented to reach Amazon #1 Best Selling status with integrity.

Strategy #1 – Document & Declare Your Book Writing Process
The fastest way to build buzz around the release of “The Fearless Mindset” was to document the roller coaster writing process by updating my tribe on social media along the way.
Now make sure to be honest if you choose to do this!
The book writing process can be one of the most daunting and challenging projects you ever create in your business. There were nights when I literally wanted to throw my laptop off of my balcony into the Pacific Ocean. Fortunately, I had a book mentor who kept me from giving up along the way.
So why is it important to document and declare the real and raw ups and downs of your book writing process?
It’s important because it ignites your tribe’s (aka community, following, etc.) interest and support of your book. Sharing weekly updates over the span of a year led to significant buzz and anticipation for the release of my book.
Not to mention it added hundreds of email subscribers to my Early Bird Book Email List, where they would subscribe to receive sample chapters and $321 worth of FREE bonuses.
Strategy #2 – Enroll Your Tribe In The Book Writing Process
Any time I had a choice to make, I enrolled my tribe on social media or via email to get their opinion.
When choosing a title or sub-title for my book, I sought feedback and advice from my tribe.
When I had 4 different covers to choose from for “The Fearless Mindset“, I posted an image of each cover to my social media accounts asking for feedback from my tribe.
When I got the first draft of my book launch video trailer (below), my tribe was the first to see before the rest of the marketplace.
You see, enrolling your tribe in the book writing process creates raving fans who have actually contributed to the creation of your book. Since your faithful fans feel like a piece of your book is actually there’s, they passionately help share and promote your book with the world.
I would never have come close to reaching Amazon #1 bestselling status without the faithful support of my fans.
Strategy #3 – Interview Like-Minded Experts For Your Book
More than any other strategy, this may have been the most valuable strategy that catapulted “The Fearless Mindset” to #1 bestseller in 5 categories on Amazon.
When I set out to write, “The Fearless Mindset”, I interviewed 9 of the world’s most fearless entrepreneurs about their mindsets and habits that led them to get fit in less time, skyrocket their income, and become unstoppable.
I re-purposed each interview into a blog post which added subscribers to my early bird book list.
By interviewing these experts, I borrowed credibility from influencers who are far more famous than I am, which created even more buzz for the launch of the book.
And having had the privilege to interview a Super Bowl Champion, Billionaire Entrepreneur, NY Times Bestselling Author, And Mixed Martial Arts World Record Holder contributed to the valuable content featured throughout the book.
Now here’s the most powerful secret about interviewing experts…
When an expert is featured extensively in a book, they are more likely to promote that book since they are a valuable part of it.
So one of the biggest reasons I became an Amazon #1 Best Selling Author, was because the influencers I interviewed for “The Fearless Mindset” were willing to help promote my book to their email lists and social media followings during launch week.
This one strategy had the greatest impact on my ability to become an Amazon #1 Best Selling Author.
